Laparoscopic renal (kidney) surgery
What is Laparoscopy?
Laparoscopy is the term used to describe
abdominal surgery performed with a camera (laparoscope) and small, thin
instruments placed through several small incisions. Laparoscopy is used
for a wide variety of operations and results in decreased
post-operative pain, decreased recovery time, and improved cosmetic
results as the incisions are much smaller than traditional open surgery.
