Scimex: International scientists, including Australians, have discovered a way
to stimulate muscle cell growth in the adult heart, limiting the damage
to this vital organ after a heart attack. The reseachers used mouse
hearts to study a heart's signalling system, and found that stimulating
the system during a heart attack lead to replacement of lost muscle
cells.
