Scimex: A swedish study has found that joint custody resulting from parental
separation or divorce has greatly increased in Australia since the 2006
Family Law Reforms, and is linked to a heightened risk of psychosomatic
problems in children from these families. The researchers found that 12
and 15 year old teens living in a joint custody situation were more
likely to suffer from an array of psychosomatic problems, including
sleep difficulties, headaches, stomach aches, feelings of tension,
sadness, dizziness, and loss of appetite.
