Analysing ultrasound images to detect lung cancer
Respirology: Australian researchers have designed a method that health workers can use to analyse black and white ultrasound images in order to differentiate between benign and cancerous lung lesions - small masses in the lung. The researchers found that when physicians used the method to analyse images they were more likely to correctly predict whether the lesions were cancerous or not.
