Scimex: An international study, that includes Australians, has reported that
children with autism do not sway when predicting the number of items in a
group, which is unlike typical children who can be influenced by
previous experiences. The researchers found that when typical children
were asked to predict the number of items in a large group, followed by
the number in a smaller group, they would underestimate the amount of
items in the smaller group, whereas autistic children were less likely
to underestimate in the same circumstance.
